Kristin has been working with older adults for thirty-two years. During the last twelve years, her primary focus has been on working with those who are concerned about their memory as well as those with early memory loss. She has developed and led weekly groups specifically designed for this population for ten years and has also worked in senior centers, retirement centers, assisted living facilities, day programs, a convent and with individuals.
Over the last seven years, she has co-authored five books designed for those with memory problems as well as those working with this population. Two of these books have been awarded the National Mature Media Award. She has also developed a game designed to increase the use of all the senses.
Kristin has presented at conferences and workshops throughout the United States and has assisted in developing early memory loss programs in various states. She began the first program specifically designed for those with early memory loss using the Brookdale Foundation model, fashioned after the book she co-authored entitled How to Plan and Implement an Early Memory Loss Program.
